Long Eaton United lost at home once more on Tuesday evening, as league leaders Wellingborough Town left Grange Park with 3 more points to stretch their lead at the top of the Midlands Division One table, but it was not without a scare!

Connor Pace levelled for The Blues, his third goal in 2 games, 10 minutes into the second half, to deservedly pull Long Eaton level, but an exquisite goal just minutes later restored The Doughboys lead and they never looked back after that.

Our focus must now turn to the visit of St Ives Town on Saturday, who occupy the position directly above The Blues. A victory will lift Long Eaton off the foot of the table, whilst anything else would leave us in serious trouble.

Thank you to everyone who supported the team on Tuesday evening.
