In that league victory, Alex Marshall opened the scoring with his fifth goal in as many games. Meanwhile, Heanor fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Vertigo as a late own goal from Max Thornberry saw Skegness Town earn all three-points. The loss comes after The Lion’s 1-1 draw to Holbeach United and their 2-0 win against Gresley Rovers on the opening day of the United Counties League.
