COMMUNITY DAY AT GRANGE PARK THIS SATURDAY
MATCH PREVIEW v LICHFIELD CITY 28.02.2026
Lichfield City are the visitors to Grange Park on Saturday, with The Blues' stuttering league form continuing after our latest defeat, this time at the hands of Bourne Town last weekend.
That defeat sees us slip down into 14th position in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division One, level on points and one place above our weekend opponents.
OPPOSITION
'The Spires' are managed by long serving Ivor Green, who has held that position since March 2020, having previously been in charge at Atherstone Town.
Lichfield have scored the fewest amount of goals in the division this season - netting just 30 in 31 games. Winning 11 and losing 12 in the process, and have won 5 times on their travels to date.
Jack Edwards is City's leading scorer this term, with 6 goals, having featured in all 31 games.
FORM
February's poor sequence of results has seen The Blues lose all 4 game this month. Our only respite came at Boldmere St Michaels, however with that game abandoned shortly near the end of the game, the result did not stand.
For our visitors, with goals generally hard to come by this season, City have registered back-to-make goalless draws against St Neots Town and Racing Club Warwick, whilst their last goal came in a 2-0 win against Mickleover on 4th February - their only victory this month, that was followed by a 2-0 home defeat against Boldmere.
PREVIOUS MEETING
Jack Edwards scored twice in the first 30 minutes at Brownsfield Road to lead Lichfield to a 2-0 success in November in our last meeting.
*Having looked through the history books, it is hard to see when, indeed if, Lichfield City have visited Grange Park before, certainly we haven't met in the league previously this century before this season.
ADMISSION
With this fixture being our designated 'Community Day' - all supporters can gain free entry for this fixture.
