Racing Club Warwick vs Long Eaton United
Northern Premier League Midlands Division – 17/01/2026
Townsend Meadow, Warwick, Warwickshire
Long Eaton travel to fourth-placed Racing Club Warwick on Saturday afternoon.
Preview:
Long Eaton United return to league action this Saturday as they make the journey south to face high-flying Racing Club Warwick.
The Blues have not played in the league since Boxing Day after beating Belper Town by four goals to one at the Family Only Stadium.
However, Brad Munn’s side were in action in the week against Belper Town in what was the quarter-finals of the Derbyshire FA Senior Challenge Cup. Unfortunately, The Blues exited the cup after a 3-1 loss.
Long Eaton United ended 2025 in style as they are currently five matches unbeaten in the league.
After winning three out of three league matches in December and scoring thirteen goals in the process (and only conceding two), The Blues carry healthy momentum into 2026 as they look to march up the table during the second half of the season.
Long Eaton are currently in 11th place with games in hand over the majority of teams around them. Munn’s side have the fourth best goal difference in the league, despite sitting 11th.
The Blues are also one of the five teams to not lose a game in their previous five league matches. Alongside Long Eaton United and going five unbeaten in the league are Sutton Coldfield Town, Wellingborough Town, Basford United and Carlton Town.
Saturday’s opponents, Racing Club Warwick, are currently in fourth place.
Warwick have 41 points compared to Long Eaton’s 35, so only six points separates 11th place and 4th place. It is also worth noting that The Racers have played three league games more than Long Eaton.
Saturday’s hosts are unbeaten in their previous four league games, most recently (last Saturday) they drew 1-1 with league leaders, Carlton Town.
Reverse Fixture:
Saturday 4th October 2025 – Family Only Stadium, Long Eaton, Derbyshire
Long Eaton United 0-4 Racing Club Warwick
It was a tricky afternoon when The Racers visited the Family Only Stadium earlier on in the season, when the Blues were beaten by four goals to nil.
The game was goalless at halftime however Warwick scored three goals in eleven minutes between the 48th minute and the 59th, to gain assured control over the game.
The first was scored by James Harding, with Archie Hamp scoring two within four minutes only moments after.
Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton scored a fourth for Racing Club in the 83rd minute.
There is plenty of motivation to go and get three points on Saturday as Long Eaton United look to make it six unbeaten in the league.
COME ON YOU BLUES!
