The Blues are back in league action at home as Rugby Borough make the journey north.
It is a quick turn around for The Blues as Tuesday’s match vs Rugby Borough comes after Saturday’s 3-1 win at home against AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Goals from Jahvan Davidson-Miller, Elliot Hartmann and Tristan Thompson-Matthews sealed three points against AFC Rushden & Diamonds, with Long Eaton United now sitting in 6th place after the win.
The Blues sit on 41 points, having played 26 games and have as many as two games in hand on some teams around them, including Rugby Borough.

Boro are 14th currently in the table after taking the league by storm in the opening weeks of the season. They have played 28 games and have collected 33 points.
After losing only one of their opening nine league games of the campaign, Tuesday’s opponents flew out of the blocks early on however their form and results have since settled.
Rugby Borough have only picked up two wins in their last 14 league matches.
Reverse Fixture:
Wednesday 10th September 2025
Rugby Borough 1-1 Long Eaton United
Bryan Kohyrelon (37’) Evan Garnett (61’)
It was a cold and wet evening at the Nationwide Windows Arena on Wednesday the 10th of September 2025, when Long Eaton travelled to face Rugby Borough in a midweek fixture.
The Boro held the majority of the ball throughout the opening half and took a lead into the half-time break as Bryan Kohyrelon finished past Lewis King in the 37th minute.
The Blues came out fighting in the second half and Evan Garnett struck the ball into the back of Rugby Borough’s net in the 61st minute to earn his side a point.
It should be another cracker this Tuesday down at the Family Only Stadium.
We would love to see you down there and getting behind the boys in black and blue.
Brad speaks ahead of Rugby Borough (H):
“They’re a good side. They’ve just fell off a little bit of a cliff. They started really well and began life at this level of football really, really good.”
“They have some good players in there, they play a similar brand of football to ourselves and I think it will be a good game to watch.”
“On Tuesday night we need as many people down here as possible because it felt a lot better today (Saturday), when you have the young boys coming in and singing it is good for the lads, it is really good for the lads.”
“It makes it feel a bit more like a football game, them (AFC Rushden & Diamonds) getting stick, us getting stick, it is part of football. It is what makes everyone love the game so hopefully we can get a few down for the midweek game and get what the club deserves.”
