Corby Town vs Long Eaton United
Northern Premier League – Midlands Division.
Steel Park – 3:00PM KO
Five days before Christmas, we travel to the north of Corby to face Corby Town.
Our hosts currently sit sixth in the league after 21 games.
They have racked up 10 wins, four draws and seven loses – scoring 30 and conceding 23.
At home this season, the Steelmen have played nine times winning four, drawing two and losing three. In them nine games, they have maintained a positive goal difference scoring 12 and conceding 10.
This is the second time we have faced Corby with our first being the opening game of the season.
We hosted Corby at the Family Only Stadium in what was a revenge match after losing to them in the Play-Off Semi-Final last season.
Unfortunately, it did not go our way, and they returned home with three points after Gary Stohrer scored the only goal of the game in the 65th minute.
In their last five matches, they have only managed one win.
A 3-0 loss to Kidderminster Harriers on November 15 in the FA Trophy 2nd round.
A 2-1 loss to Basford United on November 18 in the league.
A 2-0 win over Sutton Coldfield on November 29 in the league.
A 1-1 draw against Rugby Borough on December 10 in the league.
And a 1-0 loss to Lichfield City on December 13 in the league.
It is going to be a massive game for both sides and a game you will not want to miss!
