League action continues at The Family Only Stadium on Saturday afternoon as The Blues welcome Coleshill Town.
Brad Munn’s side will be looking to bounce back after our run of three league games unbeaten was brought to an end on Tuesday evening after the 2-1 loss to Anstey Nomads.
James Taylor’s second goal of the season resulted in us taking the lead in the ninth minute however a brace from Tristen Thomas for The Nomads ensured they took home all three points.
However the focus now turns entirely onto this Saturday’s clash versus an inform Coleshill Town side.
Harry Harris’s side have won five of their six league fixtures throughout October.
This impressive run of results means that Coleshill go into Saturday’s game in sixth position in the league. They have played 14 matches and have earned 22 points.
The Colemen find themselves on a four-game winning streak and even more impressive is the fact they have not conceded a goal in those four games.
Top of the table Belper Town were beaten 2-0 by Coleshill Town, this was the win that kick-started the streak. Belper Town did have to play with ten men from the 17th minute as Ioan Evans was shown a red card.
Since then, Coleshill have proceeded to beat Bedworth United 1-0, Wellingborough Town 1-0 and Shepshed Dynamo 2-0.
This run of form came after a slow start to the season with Coleshill Town losing three of their opening five league games.
Long Eaton head into Saturday’s fixture in 14th position in the league with a win on Saturday potentially taking us into the top half of the table.
Brad looks ahead to Saturday’s league clash vs Coleshill Town:
“We have to attack Saturday as full on as we possibly can, as much confidence as we possibly can.
“We need to chase everyone else (in the league), we need to pick up all the wins. But we lose less games than last year, we win more games than last year and that is the aim. It is as simple as that.”
