Long Eaton United vs Bedworth United
Northern Premier League – Midlands Division
Family Only Stadium, Long Eaton, Derbyshire
It is the first of back-to-back home games at the Family Only Stadium on Saturday as we host Bedworth United.
The Blues are looking to turn things around after four defeats on the bounce. The most recent, coming against Loughborough Students on Tuesday night.
The Greenbacks are currently sat at the bottom of the Northern Premier League – Midlands Division table, however come into this one in good form.
Their last two league games have both been wins.
Last Saturday, they beat high-flying Rugby Borough in a shock win at The Oval. The goal scorer for Bedworth in this 1-0 win was former Blues striker, Tolani Omotola.
On Tuesday night it was Sutton Coldfield Town who visited The Oval and again The Greenbacks were victorious.
It was a 3-2 win for the home side in the end with goals from Ross Evans, George Dunkley and a 92nd minute winner by Harvey Westwood securing Bedworth all three points.
Brad Munn’s Blues are in 17th place currently with a win on Saturday potentially moving us up to around the mid-table area.
After the Bedworth match, Long Eaton remain at the Family Only Stadium for Tuesday’s fixture against Boldmere St Michaels.
Brad looks ahead to Saturday:
“I have asked a question to the group (after defeat to Loughborough Students) and my answer will be on Saturday. It is as simple as that.”
Lewis King speaks about Bedworth game:
“The positive is that there are plenty of games. We have got time to put things right.”
“There is no better way to go and put it right than on the pitch at the end of the day.”
“It has got to be better all around, but games are coming thick and fast, we’ve got to put it right. It is early in the season, we are not going to panic, we are not going to start throwing toys out of the pram.”
“It is time to put the last four games behind us and really go for it Saturday.”
