Long Eaton United travel to Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday night to face The Royals as we look to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-1 loss to AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

The Blues currently occupy 11th spot in the league after Saturday’s defeat with a win on Tuesday possibly moving us into the play-off positions.

Sutton Coldfield come into this game just two places above the relegation zone in 17th after a very mixed start to the season.

In the league, they have won two, drew two and lost two. Due to their impressive progression in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy, the Royals have only played six league games compared to some sides who have played ten.

They travelled to Basford United on the opening day of the league and they drew 4-4. Reece Gibson scored a hat-trick on that occasion with Luca Taylor also putting one in.

Sutton Coldfield welcomed high-flying Coventry Sphinx to the Central Ground in their first home game of the season, however lost 3-1.

Their first win in the league came away to Racing Club Warwick, who the Blues face this coming Saturday at the Family Only Stadium. The score in that one finished 2-1.

Bank holiday Monday seen Sutton Coldfield Town lose 2-1 away to Lichfield City.

Nevertheless, they are unbeaten in their previous two league games as they beat Bourne Town by two goals to nil and earning a point away to Loughborough Students as that finished 2-2.

The Royals also progressed to the third round of FA Cup Qualifying but lost on Saturday to Stamford which sees them leave the competition.

Cieron Keane is available to play tonight, however will miss Saturday’s game due to his sending off against AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Gianluca Bucci is suspended for another two matches meaning he will miss Saturday’s home match against Racing Club Warwick also.
