Long Eaton United vs Shepshed Dynamo – Northern Premier League – Midlands Division
19/08/2025 – Family Only Stadium
When the Blues walk out at the Family Only Stadium this Tuesday night, they will be looking to get their third successive win in all competitions as we welcome Shepshed Dynamo.
Our first league win last Tuesday night against Mickleover FC was followed up with a 3-0 win away at Hinckley AFC on Saturday in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.
The Blues have some momentum heading into Tuesday’s league match against the Dynamo.
Even though our performance on Saturday in the FA Cup may not have been trademark Brad Munn’s Blues, we still put away three goals and had three disallowed, all whilst looking very solid and in control at the back.
Shepshed have played four competitive matches so far this season, two being in the FA Cup and two in the league.
They remain in FA Cup qualification, like us, after beating AFC Wolverhampton City on the 2nd of August and then beating Clay Cross Town 2-0 at home on Saturday.
After the Dynamo’s win on Saturday, their manager Gary Drake touched on tomorrow night’s match: “We know what Long Eaton will be about. We know that Brad’s got a good side up there, so it will be a real good challenge for us Tuesday night.”
Shepshed’s opening two league fixtures has seen them draw 1-1 away at AFC Rushden & Diamonds and suffer a 1-0 loss at home to Basford United.
They sit 15th in the league table as the Blues currently occupy 9th spot.
Brad spoke ahead of tomorrow’s game against Shepshed: “Lets get back to us. We want two wins on the bounce (in the league), we want our first home win.”
“We got out first away win pretty quickly, so let’s make sure we bounce back straight from this and go and get three points on the board.”
“They are going to be no mugs, they will come out full of intent and take the game to us, we need to be bang at it and doing things our way.”
Family Only Stadium under the lights on a Tuesday night. Perfect.
You Blues!
