Tyler Bruck opened the scoring which turned out to be the only goal of the match early in the first half.
A second half fight back was not enough for the Blues as they were condemned to defeat away from home.
Brad Munn made two changes coming into the match, following last weekend’s victory - James Taylor picked up a suspension, and Connor Pace found himself on the bench, which meant that Liam Loughlan and Archie White both started.
The hosts kickstarted the game with a well worked goal after just four minutes. Bruck found himself in space inside the box after he received a pass from out wide, and the forward was simply able to guide a strike into the bottom right corner.
James Shaw had a chance for the Blues 20 minutes later, as his thumping effort from just outside the box flew towards goal but only managed to skim the far post.
Then, Evan Garnett had an opportunity moments later, as he turned in the box with the ball at his feet and arrowed a low shot towards goal, although it was a comfortable stop for James Storer.
Both keepers were called into action in first half added time. First, Lewis King had to react to stop a James Rowland shot from close, then straight down the other end Storer reacted immensely to deny Ryan Campbell-Gordon.
Substitute Mitch Botfield was gifted the next opportunity in the second half, but his flicked header at the near post was gathered well by King in between the sticks.
Botfield and Jack Downing then had the two final chances of the match in the dying moments.
King was able to deny Botfield with a comfortable stop after a low driven strike from the edge of the area.
Downing could then not quite find the target with his strike from inside the box that dragged just wide of the post.
Chances went begging throughout the match for both sides, but that all important early goal meant the Blues left the Paycare Stadium with zero points.
