Garnett put The Blues ahead after 15 minutes played when James Shaw’s effort smashed off the underside of the crossbar and fell for the number nine to finish from close-range.
In a cagey first-half, the hosts found an equaliser through substitute Jordan Hayward who scored less than a minute after he entered the field of play.
However, the hosts were reduced to ten-men during injury time when Sam Lockley fouled Gianluca Bucci off the ball. Then, in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Garnett restored our lead with his second of the afternoon.
Ahead at the break, Garnett bagged his hat-trick shortly after the restart and soon made it four with a lovely finish past Keelan Fallows.
In the final minute of the match Garnett found his fifth goal of the afternoon to wrap up an emphatic win away from home.
