The Seasiders had the better first half as Matt Broadley and Lewis Dennison put the visitors two goals ahead at half-time.
However, a second half comeback saw Jamie Walker tuck away a penalty and Jack Rogers net a second moments later to secure a point for the Blues on home soil.
Ian Deakin opted to make zero changes from the starting side that has been so successful in recent weeks – the only changes took place on the bench as Callum Minkley returned from injury and Mansfield Town loanee Curtis Davies began on the bench.
The Seasiders began the sharper of the two sides and that was evident when Broadley did well to arrow a strike into the bottom left corner from the edge of the Blues box after only four minutes.
Eleven minutes later, Tom Cursons had a big opportunity for Long Eaton, as he drove into the box and to the by-line, before cutting the ball back for Alex Marshall to strike from the penalty spot, although the striker could not quite find the target.
Bridlington were in fact able to make it two in the 21st minute through Dennison. The visitors forward climbed just inside the Blues box and was able to beat Sam Wilson to the ball with a deft header – Riece Bertram chased back in an attempt to clear the ball of the line, but the defender could only arrow the ball in off the post.
Late in the first half, Jamie Walker had a big opportunity to snatch one back for Long Eaton as he struck a half volley from the edge of the Bridlington box with venom, but Jack Bulless threw his body in the way to block the shot and deny the effort.
As the half-time whistle blew, the Blues understood that it was an out of the ordinary display in the first half and a bounce back was needed in the second to get anything from the game.
That switch took a positive start for the Blues as just four minutes into the second half, Alex Marshall was pulled to the ground by Ali Aydemir as he rose for a header which resulted in the referee awarding Long Eaton a penalty kick.
Jamie Walker stepped up to take the penalty and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner, just out the reach of Bridlington shot-stopper James Hitchcock.
Moments later, Walker almost turned assister as he fed Cursons through on goal – the Blues forward rounded the keeper on a tight angle but scuffed his strike and sent the ball way wide of the target.
Hitchcock was called into action once again for the visitors in the 56th minute as a deep corner was won by a Blues head and looked to be destined for goal, although the Seasiders’ shot-stopper reacted immensely to dive and palm the ball off the line.
Within the space of two minutes, Long Eaton had another chance as Cursons took a speculative strike from around 25 yards out across the face of the goal keeper, but this time his strike pinged off the crossbar and out of play.
It was substitute Rogers that the Blues had to call on to grasp an equaliser mid-way through the second half – Ashaiah Fearon worked tirelessly down the right to place himself in a brilliant position for a cross-shot, in which Rogers met at the far post to calmly tap into the empty net.
With the score level, the Blues kept piling on the pressure as they searched for the winner and with minutes left in the second half Cursons had a golden opportunity. The Blues forward was left unmarked at the back post as he latched onto a brilliant Jamie Walker cross with a firm head, but Cursons could not quite find the target, and both sides had to settle for a point.
