Following our draw at Hayden Road on Saturday against AFC Rushden & Diamonds, we must replay our FA Cup Preliminary Round tie at Grange Park on Tuesday.

James Taylor had given us a first half lead with his second FA Cup goal of the campaign, but an equaliser from substitute Rhys Thorpe levelled the scores with 18 minutes to go. Try as either time did, neither were able to find a winner and an hastily arranged replay awaits.

This will be our 6th game of the season, with 3 FA Cup, 1 FA Trophy and just 2 league games played so far - Whilst some sides will be playing their 5th NPL Midlands League match on Tuesday evening!

As a consequence of this replay, our scheduled league game against Basford United has now been postponed and a new date has already been arranged with our opponents. That game will now be played on Tuesday 6th October 2026, with the usual kick-off time of 7.45pm at Grange Park.

The winners of this tie will play Desborough Town away, in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. That tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday 5th September. Desborough, of step 5, have won all 4 of their league games so far this season, and dispensed of Carlton Town in the Preliminary Round at the weekend - winning 2-0.
