We are delighted to announce the signing of Curtis Durose for the upcoming 26/27 season.
The 22-year-old, right sided midfielder signs from Basford United, having played 29 times for The Ambers last season, scoring 1 goal.
Curtis began his career at Rotherham United, and featured in an EFL Trophy game against Manchester City in the 21/22 season for the Football League side, before loan spells at Gainsborough Trinity, Matlock Town and Scarborough Athletic - for whom he made more than 20 league appearances at Step 2 level in the National League North, scoring 2 goals in 23/24.
After leaving The Millers, he has since played for both Matlock and Gainsborough again, before moving to Basford last summer.
Manager Brad Munn had this to say regarding the move;
“I’m thrilled to welcome Curtis to the club for the coming season. A player with real potential that has been seen, but in my opinion needs that home that suits his playing style. Curtis and I both share that belief that we are that place and I’m excited to see the levels we can bring out of him.
He’s a clever player with bundles of ability and we hope that our club gain all of the benefits of seeing him play with a smile on his face, working towards our common goal of progression each season.
Welcome to the club, Curtis”
Ducrose, who was an used substitute in a EFL Championship game at Wigan Athletic in May 2023, had this to say;
“I am delighted to be on board at this club. I have always liked the style of play and wanted to be a part of it. After the first conversation with the gaffer, it was no a brainer for me, with the beliefs we share and the aims for the season and the future for the club.
I can’t wait for the season to start and help this club get it to where it belongs.”
Welcome to The Blues, Curtis Durose
