The defender is the sixth member of the 2018/19 Robins squad that won the Midland Football League title to join the Blues since Ian Deakin, Craig Swinscoe and Adam Campbell took charge.

Tom Marshall follows in the footsteps of his brother Alex Marshall, who arrived at Grange Park back in February and has since played six matches and scored 10 goals.

Reunited with another one of his former players, Deakin said: “We are delighted to welcome Tom Marshall to Long Eaton United.

“He adds considerable strength to an already strong squad and is a talented player who will fit straight in with the team.

“Tom is exactly the type of player we want to attract to the club, and I am looking forward to working with him once again.”
