Jebbison joins the Blues after an initial trial period during pre-season. The 20-year-old put in some excellent performances against strong opposition, as well as netting twice past Gedling Miners Welfare and Dunkirk FC.
The young Canadian forward has vast experience playing in the UK, from trialling with Sheffield United at the age of 16, to more recently playing for league rivals Quorn AFC during the 2019/20 season.
Commenting on how the initial interaction came about with first-team manager Ian Deakin, Jebbison said: “I knew Deaks [Ian Deakin] before, well he knew me and my brother, so he kind of knew what I could do, and that’s why he brought me in.
“In fact, he brought me in by texting me, he said he wanted me on the team, so I came in hoping to impress him and that is what happened.”
Micah is the older brother of Sheffield United forward and England youth international Daniel Jebbison, and the younger brother of Jonathan Jebbison, formerly of Heanor Town and Quorn AFC.
As football runs through the Jebbison family, when asked what he can add to the squad, Jebbison said: “I am really looking to improve the competitiveness and add something different to the squad, hopefully, I can start picking up some goals throughout the season and excite the fans.”
After a while out and a return to competitive football on the horizon, Jebbison seemed excited to get back out on the pitch alongside his new teammates, he added: “The lads are all friendly, straight away they were talking to me and making me feel welcome, so I really appreciate them.
“Tuesday will be my first competitive game back in a while, so I am very excited for that, and I just cannot wait to get going.
“I have been out for a year and six months due to injury, I tore my ACL, but now I have come back fully fit, whether I start or I come on from the bench, it really does not matter, I am just really excited for Tuesday. “
