Long Eaton United secure further grant funding and make significant additional ground upgrades.

Long Eaton United are delighted to confirm two grants from the Premier League Stadium Fund towards ground grading improvements and conversion to LED floodlighting for the stadium pitch at the Family Only Stadium at Grange Park.

With the club providing matched funding, works have already started to replace all the pitch surround fencing and the installation of two further turnstiles which should enable the club to reach an official capacity of close to 3000.

Operations Director Jim Fairley welcomed the news commenting: “We continue to make extensive improvements to our stadium as we endeavour to make it the best in the region. The whole team has been working flat out over the summer months not just with these works but with pitch and repair works and additional improvements to the club’s wider infrastructure.”

Operations Manager Zak Dargan added: “We would like to thank the Football Foundation for their continued, fantastic support and hope that all members of our community club will be proud of the facilities they return to for what is sure to be an exciting 2024/25 season.”

The club will be working with J-Pugh Lewis Limited for the ground and pitch works, fencing and new turnstiles and Musco Sports Lighting for the new lighting system.

All ground works will be completed pre the 2024/25 season with the upgraded floodlighting before the winter.
