The 22-year-old signed on dual registration from Ilkeston Town last March and made seven appearances for The Blues at the tail end of the season.

After the signing was confirmed, first-team manager Brad Munn said: “I’m extremely pleased to announce Locky will be with us for the new season.

“He came to us in turbulent times last season and at times captured the imagination and gave a breath of fresh air to the group. He has an infectious personality and ability that I think we have only scratched the surface of.

“I think this platform in the new season will be one to really get the best out of him and most importantly he wants to be at the club, bring out his full potential and get back to his levels of previous years. After conversations, he feels it’s the right place for him which internally makes us proud that the club and myself make him feel that way.
