LONG EATON UNITED ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THEIR NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM

Long Eaton United are pleased to confirm the appointment of Ian Deakin as their new First Team Manager with Craig Swinscoe as Assistant Manager and Adam Campbell as Coach.

Club Chairman Jim Fairley confirmed the new appointment commenting;
“We have watched both Ian and Craig’s development in management over the last few years and we’re impressed by the part they played as Assistant Manager and Coach at Ilkeston Town where they helped achieve back to back promotions; we are happy to welcome both of them along with Adam to the Club”

New Manager Ian Deakin said “Long Eaton United is a fantastic club with a great infrastructure and potential. I am delighted to have this opportunity along with Craig and Adam and believe we can take the club forward in line with its ambition. We are looking forward to the challenge and can’t wait to get started”

Club Managing Director Nick Dargan stated “timing is important in all walks of life and it was our good fortune that Ian, Craig and Adam were available so soon after the resignation of Rudy Funk last week”

He added “we have spent some time with Ian and Craig this week and are confident they share our ambition to develop a squad capable of being very competitive at this level for the remainder of this season and of course next. They will work closely with Head of Football Development Paul Holland who is developing a highly talented bunch of young players within our CFC Reserve side to support the First Team Group.

We will continue to make significant investment into the facilities at the Club which are equal to most at this level and we are sure our supporters will be as excited as we are by the opportunity that now presents itself”
