
Former midfielder Michael Armstrong became Long Eaton United's youngest ever captain when he was handed the armband for their game against Parkgate FC on February 18, 2012.
The 17-year-old was part of a young United side and made captain by manager Mick Galloway following the departure of a number of senior players.
The team on that day were made up of a number of club juniors and were also recorded as United's youngest ever starting line-up.
The Northern Counties East Football League game ended 0-0 with 71 in attendance.
The team (including appearances at the time) were: Scott Webb (8), Andy Rhodes (1), Kial Thurman (1), Isaac Marshall (17), Michael Armstrong (38), Jimmy Hunter (15), Jacob Webster (17), Blaine Hancock (3), Will Mellors-Blair (26), Josh Hooley (14) and Matt Weightman (17).
Armstrong now plays under former United manager Charlie Palmer at Belper Town.
