Charity match to honour Matthew Langton in support of YoungMinds

Charity match to honour Matthew Langton in support of YoungMinds

Bradley White1 Jul 2021 - 15:00

Grange Park will host a charity football match on Saturday, July 17, 2pm kick-off, in aid of YoungMinds and to honour Matthew Langton.

The match will be played by Matt’s friends in the spirit of a friendly tribute to him. The event is to support the charity YoungMinds as a tribute to Matthew Langton who sadly lost his life on 1st March 2021.

YoungMinds is a UK based charity with a mission to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people. They aim to see a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and all young people get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

Grange Park will host the event on Saturday 17th July 2021 and everyone at the club would hugely appreciate it if the Blues fans came down and helped support such an important cause.

Entry to the event will be £5, however this is just a suggested donation per person, and under 12s can watch the match for free.

Under 12s will also be invited to join a penalty shootout that will go ahead on the main pitch before the match gets underway.

Food including burgers, hot dogs, and a veggie option, along with drinks, will be available to purchase throughout the day.

The gates, bar and kitchen open at 12:30pm, with the kitchen serving until 4pm and the bar serving until 7pm.

Kick-off for the match is 2pm, with a minute’s silence scheduled before the match gets
underway.

There will also be a raffle that you can enter at half-time and all money that is raised from the draw will also go to the YoungMinds charity.

Whilst at the event, government regulations should still be followed in terms of social distancing, so please stay safe, come down, support YoungMinds and enjoy the match.
