Managing Director, Nick Dargan, has relayed some useful information that we recommend taking note of before travelling to watch Long Eaton United vs Gresley Rovers on Monday 18th April, KO 3:00 PM.
Information is as follows:
All involved at Long Eaton United Football Club are looking forward to tomorrow’s visit of the players, management, staff and supporters of Gresley Rovers Football Club along with all of our own supporters and the significant number of neutrals expected at the game.
Remarkably the final game of the Uhlsport United Counties Premier League North season is between the sides lying 1st and 2nd in the table both of whom have exactly the same record of 27 wins, 5 draws and only 1 defeat all season.
With the title to be decided tomorrow and the trophy awarded at the end of the game, both clubs should rightly be proud of their tremendous achievements throughout the season with both having already secured promotion to The Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division for next season.
Whichever side goes on to lift the trophy will be worthy winners and we hope everyone joining us for the day enters into the spirit of the occasion and makes sure both sets of players and the officials are afforded the respect they deserve.
The gates will open at 1:30 pm and there will be cash only and credit/debit card only turnstiles operating. Entrance is £6 for Adults, £4 for Concessions and free entry for U16s that are accompanied by a paying adult.
Free car parking will be provided in the car park kindly supplied by the Erewash Bowls Club with additional parking at the clubhouse restricted to officials, players, staff and any attendees exhibiting a disabled badge.
The bar will be open with SKY Sports showing and the canteen facilities will be open for food and refreshments.
Both the FA and the League will be represented at the game and there will be stewards on hand to help any supporters at any stage before, during and after the game.
If supporters can get to the ground early and try to use the bar and canteen facilities in advance of just before kick-off and not just at half-time, then hopefully, we can reduce the queues and minimise your waiting times.
The weather forecast is great so let’s all get ready for a fantastic finale to an incredible season and whilst we are certain the game will be keenly contested on the pitch; let’s both sets of supporters show how good non-league football can be and make both clubs proud.
