Long Eaton United (0) v Carlton Town Blue (3) - 28/11/09
The U9's met Carlton Town for the second week running, having lost narrowly in the Cup the previous week.
Another tough game against a physical Carlton Town Blue side saw Long Eaton unfortunately extend their losing run.
The home side were second best in the first half though were slightly unfortunate to be 2 goals down at the break.
The second half was a different story. Zak Hansen took over in goal, with Jack moving to centre midfield where he made a real difference and drove the team forwards.
For much of the second half the home side pressed forwards and had numerous attempts on goal, only being denied by the inspired performance of the Carlton goal-keeper. Pressing forwards desperately trying to re-gain a foothold in the game, Long Eaton were caught on the break and ended losing 0-3.
Once again, the home side were left disappointed but should take consolation from their second half performance and the praise of the opposition's management, who felt a draw was probably a fair result !
It's time for a win against Clifton All White's away on saturday !
