Attenborough Colts (4) v Long Eaton United (2) - 14/11/2009

The U9's travelled to local rivals Attenborough Colts with high expectations having beaten them pre season.

However, the home side started strongly and in trying weather conditions quickly established a two goal lead. A goal from Benedict brought Long Eaton back into the game but the visitors remained 2-1 behind at half time.

Attenborough made better use of the windy conditions and scored twice more to lead 4-1 early in the second half. A goal from Zak mid-way through the half gave Long Eaton some hope but, despite some late pressure, Attenborough ran out worthy 4-2 winners on the day.
