The Blues have been removed from the Cup with their opponents reinstated after playing only 1 game in the competition.

The Blues have been removed from the Competition after breaching Rule 5 (iv)

iv) Where a club participates in the Women's Premier Competitions it has been decided that a restriction will be placed on the number of players who play at the higher level of the game. The restriction will be that; "A team shall not include more than [5] players who has taken part in [3] or more senior competition matches during the current season. For the purpose of the Competition a senior competition is [The FA Womens Premier]."

The club are extremely disappointed to have been removed from the Competition. With no reserve side, we as a club find it extremely disheartening that we were allowed to enter the competition given it would be impossible for us to comply with these rules.

After reaching the final of the competition and after sealing promotion to the FA Women's Premier League from EMWRFL last season we are now unable to participate in the County Cup given it is not inclusive of FA WPL clubs unless they have a reserve side. The club find it frustrating that in every County Cup across the Country the Women's Cup is inclusive for all teams, from FA WPL to County League and is a showcase of the talent within the County, apart from in Derbyshire.
