Match preview: Halesowen (A)
Long Eaton United travel to The Grove and face 11th place Halesowen Town in the SFL Premier Central.
The Blues will aim to pick up their first points of the season after a defeat to Royston Town left them at the foot of the table last weekend.
The Opposition -
Meanwhile, The Yeltz find themselves in the middle of the pack after an unbeaten start to the season.
In their last match, Halesowen led twice against Kettering Town but an equaliser from Daniel Jarvis in the 71st saw the newly promoted side draw for a third consecutive match.
Previous Meetings -
The two sides last met at The Grove in the 1981-82 FA Cup Preliminary Round. United lost 3-1 while The Yeltz advanced in the cup.
Managers quotes -
“I know them well,” Lewis McGugan said: “[I] played against them a few times over the last couple of years so I know them quite well, know their personnel and how their manager wants to do things.
“Listen, they’ll be different this year because it’s a new season but it’s a great place to go - they have a lot of fans and you’ve got to enjoy that, embrace it and really rise to the occasion.”
