Blues took the spoils in our first real pre season test....
After a goalless first half in which we were easily the better side Mitch missed the best chance when he saw his Penalty kick saved by the second choice keeper following a hand ball decision.
In the second we still held the upper hand...The rain began to bucket down and it was in the 68th min Carlton slipped up at the back allowing Mabo to score into an empty net.
The home side equalised in 77th min when Danny Blair scored with a sweet shot which skidded past Rosco from the edge of the area.
Carlton were more of a threat and Rosco had to make a couple of good stops.
Blues snatched the winner when sub Shane Newton angled a shot on the greasy surface which deflected past the wrong footed Carlton keeper...
Carlton had a chance to level things up again but Brady? hit the bar from the penalty spot following a push in the area.
All in all most would agree Blues had the most of the game against the Unibond League side and deserved thier win.
